About

Hi! I’m Sofie, Director of Saili Music

It’s great to meet you! I teach piano and organise lessons for kids in Saili Music. I absolutely love working with kids, they love learning, which means they learn better. With over 40 years teaching experience in schools and privately after hours, I have expert knowledge of music and piano pedagogy but also I know that kids learn best when they are having fun!

The background bits: I hold a Bachelor of Music from the Elder Conservatorium of Music, Adelaide University, I am an AMEB examiner, and in November 2024 I completed a 5 year term as President of The Music Teachers’ Association of South Australia. Also, I am solo Mum of four children and a lover of books!
